Packaging for logistics loads

Transport and export boxes designed around the product

Transport boxes are designed for the complete logistics chain: product weight, box dimensions, stacking, palletisation, storage time, transport mode and moisture risk. Double-wall corrugated board, reinforced construction, inserts, partitions or other fixing elements may be considered for higher loads. Export packaging depends on more than board thickness. Construction must work with the pallet, closure, internal protection and actual shipment journey.

Transport packaging solutions

Strength comes from the complete construction

Material, box shape, joints, pallet layout and product fixation must work together.

01

Large transport boxes

Custom constructions for larger or unusually shaped products.

02

Double-wall boxes

Evaluated where greater rigidity, stacking resistance or demanding transport conditions are expected.

03

Pallet packaging

Box dimensions and layout are coordinated with the pallet, fixing and stacking scheme.

04

Internal protection

Inserts, partitions and fixing elements limit product movement during transport.

Load assessment

Data required for a transport box

A reliable solution cannot be selected from product length, width and height alone.

Workflow

Selecting transport packaging

Packaging is planned from the product and pallet through actual storage and transport scenarios.

  1. 01

    Cargo data

Product, quantity, weight and vulnerability are recorded.

  2. 02

    Logistics scheme

Stacking, pallet, route and handling are assessed.

  3. 03

    Construction

Board, box type, fixation and closure are selected.

  4. 04

    Specification

Production, marking, quantity and delivery data are agreed.

Logistics efficiency

Pallet utilisation should be planned early

An unsuitable box module can waste pallet area, complicate fixing or increase movement in transport.

  • Align the box base with the pallet module
  • Evaluate total loaded pallet height
  • Plan fixing and marking positions
  • Review the complete load, not one box only

Frequently asked questions

What to know before sending an enquiry

These answers help prepare a more accurate specification and production quotation.

When is double-wall board needed?

It may be considered for heavier products, high stacking, large dimensions or demanding transport. The complete construction determines the final choice.

Can a box be adapted to a pallet?

Yes. Box base, quantity per pallet and stacking scheme can be evaluated together.

Can unusually shaped products be packed?

A custom construction and internal fixing elements can be designed around product geometry and weight distribution.

Are cardboard boxes suitable for export?

Suitability depends on product, route, transport mode, storage and climate conditions and must be reviewed before quotation.

What data is needed for pricing?

Product and box dimensions, weight, quantity, logistics scenario, pallet, internal protection and printing or marking requirements are needed.
